Although slow worms look like tiny snakes, they belong to the lizard family. As their name suggests, they are slow moving and are game to birds, badgers, foxes, and hedgehogs. WebbWormholes are theoretical bridges across spacetime that link distant places together, much like shortcuts. Meanwhile, a black hole is a point in space with such immense gravity that it traps even light. Objects can traverse wormholes and exit them, but a black hole leads to an inescapable dead-end. WebbWhile slow worms may look like snakes, they are actually legless lizards. They have a smooth, glossy, grey or brown cylindrical body and, unlike snakes, a flat forked tongue, eyelids and a tail which sheds when under attack. The tail will carry on moving even when it has been shed in order to distract the predator. Credit: Amy Lewis / WTML.
